Mike is a graduate student at Rutgers University studying the geochemistry of ore deposits in New Jersey and elsewhere in the USA. He often uses various isotope systems and chemical compositions of rocks and minerals to trace the history of how these ore deposits are formed. Mike is motivated to understand these ore systems so that metal deposits can be discovered faster and cheaper. Outside of geology he is fascinated by the outdoors and stays active through his favorite sports like Judo, Jiu Jitsu, and Boxing.
